The Mission

PoSAT-1 is in a heliosynchronous, quasi-polar, orbit at an altitude of about 790 km. It was launched on September 27, 1993 by Ariane 4, flight 59 , as a piggy-back of SPOT III , using the ASAP (Ariane Structure for Auxiliary Payloads) facility.

The other piggy-back companions of PoSAT-1 were: STELLA, KITSAT-2, HEALTHSAT-2, ITAMSAT and EYESAT.

NORAD keplerian elements can be extracted via ftp from archive.afit.af.mil.
